We are hiring sales associates. Generating sales by proactively engaging and connecting with Newfriend Vintage customers. This position is a part-time hourly position and reports to the store manager. The starting pay rate is $19.08/ hour and requires availability on weekdays, weekends, and holidays at our West Hollywood store on 7524 / 7600 Melrose Avenue West Hollywood, CA, 90046.

Sales Associate Duties
• Assist in ring up sales and bagging merchandise for customers. • Provide product knowledge to customer to help drive sales
• Able to maneuver merchandise and lift up to 40lb
• Must keep sales floor cleaned, organized and stocked.
• Open / close store
• Monitor fitting room and other parts of the store.
• Processing new merchandise onto the sales floor
• Responsible for providing customers with a positive shopping experience,
that includes providing customers with product knowledge / info.
• Cash handling
• Working with a point of sale system (Shopify)
• Perform cash processing and card payments
• Look out for shoplifters; responsible for security within the store as well as
watching out for fraudulent credit cards etc.
• Guide and give advice to customers on product selection
• Alerts management of potential security issues.
• Unload shipment of merchandise, process merchandise and maintain a clean stock room
Qualifications
• 2+ Years of retail experience
• Experience with Shopify
• Vintage Enthusiast
• Excellent communication skills
• Licensed driver with a source of transportation
